...A Random Act of Kindness...

PROJECT: BAG OF BASICS

Fill one or many gallon-size Ziploc freezer bags with the following items and bring to the church so they may distribute them to any homeless person that might come to the church needing help. Item ideas (take these ideas or use your own):

  • 1 pair of socks and 1 pair of stretchy gloves
  • 1 McDonald's gift card
  • 1 soap, deodorant, toothbrush and toothpaste
  • nonperishable food item that can be eaten on the go (no peanut items in case the person has an allergy)
  • Notecard with encouraging words or favorite scripture
  • Small New Testament
  • Local Ministries

    Knoxville Area Rescue Ministries (KARM): According to the website, Karm's mission is to "seek to rescue the poor and needy of the Knox Area by providing recovery services in Jesus' name."

    Lonsdale Elementary School This is the school which Pep Moms, along with Cedar Springs, sponsor.

    Hope Resource Center: Hope serves men and women who are struggling with unplanned pregnancies or who have concerns with sexual health.

    General Mills Boxtops for Education Clip the 10¢ box top coupon on any participating General Mills item and bring it to a Pep Moms meeting. We will use these boxtop labels to help support Lonsdale Elementary School. The jars will be set up at the registration desk.

    Campbell's Labels for Education Clip and save UPCs (you no longer have to clip the entire label) and caps for education brands and bring them to a Pep Moms meeting. We will use these boxtop labels to help support Lonsdale Elementary School. The jars will be set up at the registration desk.
